The Fort Anne Heritage Tapestry
,
designed by Kiyoko Grenier-Sago
,
was stitched by over 100 volunteers.
Fort Anne’s Heritage Tapestry
depicts 4 centuries of history in
three million delicate needlepoint
stitches. Stitched in 95 colours of
wool, it measures about 18’ in
length and 8’ in height, and was a
labor of love over 4 years in the
making. It is a unique work of
immense proportions, but
Annapolis Royal is a community
with an epic story to relate.

Welcome Nova Star Cruises
The Nova Star leaves Portland
every evening at 8 pm EST on her
overnight voyage to Yarmouth and
arrives at 8 am AST. The return is a
daytime crossing, departing
Yarmouth at 9:30 am AST, arriving
in Portland at 7 pm EST.
When Samuel de Champlain
and Sieur de Mons first came to this
area back in 1604, they crossed the
Atlantic on a 150-ton vessel that
was only 30 meters (100 feet) long.
Today, visitors to Nova Scotia
can simply drive their vehicle on
board the 27,444-ton Nova Star and
enjoy an entertaining travel
experience at a level never before
offered between these two exciting
vacation destinations. A variety of
unique dining options, a casino,
spa, live entertainment and more
are all part of the cruise experience.
